(Seguin) — Visitors to Seguin will have an improved experience when coming to Seguin with a new visitor center at 200 South Austin Street. The space will offer a larger welcoming reception area, more Seguin merchandise, and increased visibility.

“Being on the natural foot path of the visitor is a necessity, and the relocation to the heart of downtown Seguin, will do just that,” said Kyle Kramm, Seguin Main Street & CVB Director, “With visitor center staff greeting more visitors, more information on local businesses and events will be shared with our visitors to benefit all of the community.”

In addition to the new visitor center, the Seguin Main Street Office will be relocating there as well. The move will allow Main Street staff to host more frequent, smaller events in Central Park.

“Part of the downtown master plan called for increased activation of Central Park, and the move will allow for Main Street staff to do just that,” said Kramm, “We are envisioning rolling out our yard games and maybe a book cart when the weather is nice so people can relax and enjoy spending time in Central Park.”

Other benefits with the relocation of Main Street and CVB include upgraded Wi-Fi for Central Park, a public restroom for downtown visitors when the center is open, and additional security cameras added to downtown to keep the area safe.

The new visitor center will open to the public on Monday, October 2 and an open house will come later in the fall. So stop in to get your Seguin swag, learn about community events, or just to say hi.
