I-35 Corridor shows positive trends for regional workforce development

The Central Texas-based I-35 corridor is often spoken of as prt of an up and coming ‘megaregion’ that includes San Antonio and Austin.
Leaders in Texas workforce development and elected officials are all but guaranteeing that the “mega-region” becomes a reality. Looking at statistics shows that the future may not be so far away.
According to a 2022 report by Dallas-based real estate and investment firm CBRE Group Inc., the area has a population of 5.9 million, a quarter of whom are aged 18 to 34, and is projected to grow by 10% by 2030. The region currently has a workforce of 46,000, which CBRE predicts to grow by 21.2% during that time.
