SEDC celebrates all business in Seguin

(Seguin) — A batch of businesses did not recently go unrecognized by the Seguin Economic Development Corporation.

The events and contributions of these three members of the business community were applauded during the SEDC’s 10th Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon.

Those recognized included Tyson Foods who received the Economic Impact Award.  Minigrip which was honored with the Community Impact Award and Jason Dinscore of CMC Steel Texas who was honored with the SEDC’s Workforce Champion Award.

SEDC Executive Director Josh Schneuker says “it is hard to put into words just how much we appreciate all the contributions our businesses make to the city of Seguin. The SEDC’s Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon is our way of saying thank you to the local business community. It was an honor to have them in attendance for this event, and it was an honor to recognize these three businesses for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the city of Seguin over the past year.”

Every year, the SEDC hosts a Business Appreciation Luncheon to thank local businesses for their dedication to the city’s present and future economic growth.

“A key element in the success of economic development is a culture that creates opportunities for new business as well as sustained business excellence for existing businesses. SEDC is proud to honor a few of those businesses each year that are a “REAL” part of that culture by recognizing their outstanding achievements,” said Carlos Moreno, SEDC board president.

The 10th Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon was held on Thursday at the Soel Venue. The event featured a Small Business Comes to You Pop Up Shops as well as Senior Labor Market Economist for Texas State Technical College, Richard Froeschle as the honorary keynote speaker.
