SEGUIN, TX – The Seguin Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) announced today that Aceroteca Metals, LLC has broken ground on a new 59,000 square foot metal service center located on a 23-acre site at Heideke Street and Seidemann Street in Seguin, Texas. The project will represent a total capital investment of at least $10 million and will result in the creation of at least 20 full-time jobs. The facility will handle steel coils, cutting and slitting them into steel sheets for downstream processing. Aceroteca expects construction on the project to be completed by the Spring of 2024, with operations commencing soon after.

Aceroteca Metals was established with a goal to promote steel by offering the service in the best way feasible and for the lowest cost. Aceroteca utilizes their knowledge as a service center and as a trader to provide clients with steel of origin that is more competitive by exploiting the capacity set up in Mexico. Aceroteca’s primary area of focus is on flat steel products for the automotive, heavy industry, commercial, HVAC, white line, metal and mechanical, and construction applications.

It also enables our company to tap into one of the most plentiful and rapidly growing labor markets in the United States. We are excited to build our first U.S. based facility in our new home, Seguin, Texas.”

Antonio region. Since its creation in 1999, IBDC has helped over 200 businesses create lasting expansion in the San Antonio region.
